Metsger: 1,100 Comment Letters to NCUA on RBC
Holding a stack of papers, NCUA Board Member Rick Metsger told CU Times more than 1,100 comment letters have been submitted to the regulator on the proposed risk-based capital rule.
“We have a lot of good information here. I think they will make those listening sessions valuable, dynamic and help us reach the right conclusion,” Metsger said in a video interview after the NCUA board meeting on Thursday.
Metsger and NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz will hold listening sessions in Los Angeles on June 26, Chicago on July 10 and Alexandria, Va., on July 17.
Matz told CU Times the format for the listening sessions has not been finalized yet. She encouraged credit unions participating in the events to be as specific as possible when voicing their regulatory concerns.
“It’s always best to have not only specific comments but solutions, don’t just tell us what a problem is, tell us what you think the solution should be,” Matz said.
