Christian Community Headed for Symitar
The $573 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., plans to convert to the Symitar Episys core processing platform, the company and credit union said.
Christian Community currently runs on the Acumen platform, according to data from Callahan & Associates, and was the first in the U.S. to commit to that new Fiserv flagship solution not long after its rollout in late 2009.
Fiserv had said it would be sunsetting Acumen after its 2013 acquisition of Open Solutions Inc. and its DNA platform.
Christian Community will be one of about 100 credit unions running Episys through the outsourced delivery model, according to Symitar, a division of Jack Henry & Associates of Monett, Mo. It has more than 800 credit unions total on its core processing solutions.
In its decision to convert, Christian Community cited flexibility and functionality of the Episys EASE service bureau solution and commercial lending capabilities that will automate the process flow of church loans, Symitar said Tuesday in its announcement.
