Triton Adds ATM Donation Feature
Credit unions that deploy Triton ATMs can now support members making charitable donations.
The new service was developed by Triton and Digital Donations, a charitable arm of the Melville, N.Y.-based payments processor Digital Processing Solutions.
Members and non-members using the ATMs can donate from the machines to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, National MS Society, Champions for Kids and The Humane Society. Donations can be a part of a cash withdrawal, the Triton said, or made as an independent transaction.
"We project installing the platform on more than 100,000 U.S. ATMs over the next three years, providing consumers with a convenient way to support the charity of their choice," said Keith Orlean, president of Digital Processing Solutions. "In addition to fundraising, the program provides nonprofits with the opportunity to raise awareness for causes through public service announcements, on screen marketing and by branding the ATMs with a Digital Donations wrap including the charities and sponsorship partners."
"It's a win-win for nonprofits and ATM deployers," said James Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing for Triton. "Not only is it a great way for consumers to support charities, it's an opportunity for ATM deployers to differentiate themselves from the competition and to help their merchants increase traffic.”
Triton has not yet revealed if any credit unions have begun offering the charitable donation feature at its ATMs.
