Turner Retires from Arlington Community FCU
Brenda Turner has retired after 22 years as president/CEO of the $215 million Arlington Community Federal Credit Union in Falls Church, Va.
Karen Rosales, COO since 2010, is serving as interim CEO while the board of directors searches for a permanent successor, ACFCU said in its announcement on Wednesday.
Turner became CEO of the then-$20 million Arlington County Employees Credit Union in 1992 and led it through a merger with Arlington Schools Federal Credit Union in 1996, becoming Arlington Virginia Federal Credit Union. The credit union later converted to a community charter in 2005. ACFCU then built a new headquarters in 2009 and adopted its current name.
“Brenda leaves a great legacy at Arlington Community Federal Credit Union. Her commitment to providing value and remarkable service to the members will be carried out in the credit union’s ongoing mission,” said ACFCU Board Chairman Lisa Moore.
