NIHFCU Names Wieczorek CEO
The $549 million NIH Federal Credit Union in Rockville, Md., said Tuesday it hired Rick Wieczorek as its new president/CEO.
Wieczorek currently is the president/CEO of the $269 million Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union in Germantown, Md., and succeeds Juli Ann Callis, who cited family reasons when she left NIH FCU last June.
Wieczorek also has served as executive vice president at Callahan & Associates’ TRUST for Credit Unions in Washington and currently is on the board of the MD & DC Credit Union Association.
The NIH FCU announcement credits Wieczorek with implementing strategic growth plans and creating a successful community-focused service platform, while increasing efficiencies and productivity and growing the member business lending program at Mid-Atlantic.
Steven Berkowitz, NIH FCU chairperson, said, “Rick is a remarkable executive with a unique vision and drive that will ensure our continued success. The board is looking forward to working with Rick to provide a unique set of financial products and services that aid members in the bio-medical community who serve such a critical role ensuring our health and safety.”
