Obama to Nominate Mark McWatters to NCUA Board
President Obama has announced his intent to nominate Texas tax attorney and former TARP panel member Mark McWatters to the NCUA Board.
McWatters served as counsel for Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) in 2009. He was a member of the Troubled Asset Relief Program Congressional Oversight Panel in Washington from December 2009 to April 2011.
McWatters currently is assistant dean for graduate programs at Southern Methodist University's School of Law in Dallas.
McWatters received a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas Christian University, an M.B.A. from Michigan State University, a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
The announcement was posted on the White House website on Tuesday.
