Seven credit unions have increased their support of Filene Research Institute with new silver benefactor relationships. The institutions upgraded their status as part of the nonprofit’s Go Silver! membership program, which celebrates Filene’s 25th anniversary in 2014.
The Madison, Wis., credit union “think-and-do” tank said the following member institutions increased their involvement from the previous bronze level of support: the $1 billion A+ Federal Credit Union, Austin, Texas; $5.7 billion American Airlines Credit Union, Fort Worth, Texas; $2.2 billion Coastal Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C.; $5.1 billion Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass.; $2.3 billion Redwood Credit Union, Santa Rosa, Calif.; $9.7 billion SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, Santa Ana, Calif.; and $1.5 billion State Department Federal Credit Union, Alexandria, Va.
In recognition of its anniversary, Filene invited its bronze benefactors to upgrade to silver in a special, limited-time membership program. Silver membership costs credit unions $24,999 annually. The program includes access to increased benefits, deeper engagement and special recognition for the credit union throughout the year.
“This is a big darn deal,” said Mark Meyer, CEO at Filene. “These organizations share our vision of a thriving and dynamic future for credit unions dependent on active participation. Their support of Filene enables us to drive change for the cooperative system as a whole.”
Credit unions participating in the Go Silver! membership program earn a credit valued at up to $10,000 towards an appreciation program, ranging from impact solutions and technology strategic planning to community engagement and extra membership support.
