Training programs for small and low-income credit unions are the focus of a new video from the NCUA.
Dubbed “March in Double Time with OSCUI” the video highlights NCUA on-demand webinars, workshops and boot camps.
The video courses are from the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives.
The agency said the programs are based on real-world situations and offer credit union professionals the opportunity to collaborate, learn best practices from industry leaders in the industry, get one-on-one consulting and mentoring, and network with other CEOs and professionals.
“We’ve designed our training to build capacity and strengthen small and low-income credit unions so they can remain viable and meet the financial needs of their members, some of whom live in our most underserved communities, for many years to come,” said NCUA Board Chair Debbie Matz.
“I encourage credit unions of all asset sizes to take advantage of these free training resources,” Matz said.
The agency said that so far this year, more than 1,500 credit union professionals have participated in OSCUI-led workshops and boot camps. Another 6,900 credit union leaders have viewed OSCUI-designed training videos, and nearly 4,500 have participated in OSCUI-produced webinars, the NCUA said.
