The $189 million Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union in Houston said it has hired Brett Wooden to the newly created position of senior vice president for marketing and innovation.
A frequent industry speaker, he was named the Northwest Credit Union Association's Young Credit Union Professional of the Year and a Trailblazer 40 Below by Credit Union Times, both in 2011.
Noted for his work in introducing tablets to the credit union space, Wooden will work closely with Cy-Fair President/CEO Cameron Dickey on growth and differentiation strategies as the 20,600-member credit union works to deploy new smartphone/tablet computer integration and apps, his new employer said.
“This leadership position recognizes the increasing convergence of mobile technology, product development, business development, and marketing in the financial services industry,” Dickey said in the Cy-Fair announcement.
Wooden is active with several credit union industry groups, including the Filene Research Institute, and serves on the advisory board for Chatter Yak! He is a graduate of Portland State University.
The 20,600-member Cy-Fair serves people who live, work, worship or attend school within the boundaries of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) and five ZIP codes in Waller County, Texas.
