Facebook Voting for Face Time on Michigan Credit Union's Website
To further strengthen its presence in the community and to support local businesses, the $278 million E&A Credit Union in Port Huron, Mich., is hosting a Facebook contest that will award a free ad on the credit union’s website to three local companies.
To participate, Facebook friends of the 33,000-member institution can enter their favorite business by posting the company’s name and website on E&A’s Facebook page by Sept. 15.
Voting will take place from Sept. 16 to Sept. 27. To vote for a business, the credit union’s Facebook friends can click the “like” button under their favorite business post or share the post on their own Facebook pages.
Winners will be selected, based on the top three posts with the most “likes” and “shares” by noon on Sept. 27. In the event of a tie, the business posted first will prevail.
After the voting period expires, the top three businesses will receive a free banner ad on E&A’s website during these dates:
- 1st Place: Oct. 6 to Oct. 26.
- 2nd Place: Oct. 27 to Nov. 9.
- 3rd Place: Nov. 10 to Nov. 6.
E&A’s marketing department will help the winning businesses develop their ads. As an added bonus, any business that opens a checking account during the contest period will be offered a set number of impressions on E&A’s website.
“The website gets over 100,000 visitors per month, so it will be great exposure for any small business in the area, and we are excited and pleased to be a part of it,” said Jenny Bulgrien, E&A’s marketing manager.
