The $8.2 billion Alliant Credit Union in Chicago has promoted Meredith Ritchie to the newly created position of vice president, general counsel and chief ethics and compliance officer.
Ritchie had been associate general counsel at Alliant for the past six years, the 278,100-member credit union said this week in an announcement.
She also had been a deputy general counsel for a state agency in Illinois, a corporate counsel in the state and local government practice at Accenture, a private litigator and a prosecutor, Alliant said.
Ritchie currently serves on the American Bar Association Credit Union Committee, the Alliant Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors and the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, Alliant said.
She is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., and the Depaul University College of Law in Chicago, the credit union said in its announcement.
