The saga of “Credit Card Murphy” is the finale video in a series of six the $475 million IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg, Mass., created to help educate consumers.
“Now the story of a credit card overcoming impossible odds, high interest rates, months in a sock drawer and a near-death experience only to become the quintessential poster boy of proper credit management,” says the introduction.
“Credit card debt is no joke, but this very amusing story helps relay an important message about using credit cards responsibly,” said Judy Kaddy, senior vice president of lending and marketing at the 21,000-member IC FCU.
Other topics in the series have included robots, zombies, budgeting guitar players and fair maidens.
IC FCU was founded in 1928 and now serves Fitchburg, Leominster, Westminster, Ayer and surrounding towns in Massachusetts.
