The $425 million Telcom Credit Union in the Detroit suburb of Novi, Mich., has changed its name to Vibe Credit Union.
The 31,800-member Vibe CU said its rebranding also includes a marketing push for its bill pay, mobile banking apps and a new website.
“The name Vibe was chosen as it is unique and different yet incorporates a modern version of the credit union’s historical roots in telecommunications over the past 77 years,” Vibe CU said in its announcement.
“Our new name is creating excitement and energy among our members and employees,” said President/CEO Tom Reagan. “We look forward to making a connection with people through our new brand and cutting-edge technology.”
Vibe has offices in Novi, Berkley, Canton, Livonia, South Lyon and Southfield and “anyone can become a Vibe Credit Union member,” the announcement said.
