Bruce Bryan, Chartway’s Utah regional president, makes the acquaintance of a Make-a-Wish child during a ceremony marking the We Promise Foundation’s donation of $325,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah.
Bruce Bryan, Utah regional president for the $1.9 billion, 193,400-member Chartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va., has joined the board of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Utah. Bryan was president/CEO of HeritageWest Credit Union when it merged with Chartway in 2010 and now oversees HeritageWest, SouthWest Community and Utah Central credit unions’ operations as well. The Utah division’s charitable work now includes working with Chartway’s We Promise Foundation.
In 2012, the We Promise Foundation donated $325,000 to the Utah Chapter of Make-A-Wish; the largest donation ever received by this chapter of the wish-granting organization. The We Promise Foundation also became the first organization to receive a star to be displayed at the Utah Chapter of Make-A-Wish’s building.
