The $1.8 billion, 340,000-member Municipal Credit Union celebrated Civil Service Appreciation Day with a halftime ceremony during the Jan. 12 college basketball game between St. John’s and Georgetown. MCU hosted more than 100 people at the game in Madison Square Garden and paid particular tribute to three people for their efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. (Georgetown won the game 67-51.)
