Mike DiBenedetto to Succeed William Page as South Florida Educational FCU President/CEO
Mike DiBenedetto has been named president/CEO of the $806 million, 65,000-member South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union in Miami.
He takes over in late January from William Page, who is retiring after more than 38 years at South Florida Educational FCU, the last eight as its president/CEO, the credit union said.
DiBenedetto is currently executive vice president of administration at the $785 million, 115,000-member FirstLight FCU in El Paso, Texas. He's a CPA with an MBA from the University of Alabama and had previously been executive vice president at Dade County FCU in Doral, Fla., and an NCUA examiner for nine years, his new employer said.
“Mike has a wonderful reputation and excellent qualifications. Our board believes that his combined experience as an executive and former regulator will both protect and advance our historical mission to bring great financial value to our members while fostering positive relationships among all of our stakeholders,” said Patricia Parham, South Florida Educational FCU’s board chair.
O’Rourke & Associates of San Francisco conducted the executive search that resulted in DiBenedetto’s hiring, the company said.
