Financial Center FCU Launches New Credit Card Program Partnership with Local High School

The $422 million Financial Center Federal Credit Union in Indianapolis has introduced a new Visa card that is being marketed to alumni of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.

“Financial Center is always looking for new ways to forge partnerships with schools like Cathedral that share the same vision to live philanthropically and financially responsible,” said James Davidson, financial literacy manager at Financial Center FCU.

While this is not the first high school partnership for Financial Center FCU, it represents the credit union’s first credit card program with a school, the Indianapolis credit union said. For every credit card application approved, the credit union donates to Cathedral High School.

“We believe the program gives Cathedral families, alumni, and friends a chance to show support for the school as well as help promote sensible and responsible financial management through educational opportunities for students,” said James F. Williams, Cathedral’s executive vice president/CFO.

Davidson is available to Cathedral High School as a guest lecturer on financial management.

Financial Center FCU offers an affinity checking account through North Central High School and has student-run branches in North Central’s J. Everett Light Career Center and in Arsenal Technical High School. In addition to providing students with real-life work experience through the onsite branches, managers of those locations lead financial guest lecture series through the schools’ business courses.
