The $195 million Lacamas Community Credit Union in Camas, Wash., has broken ground for its seventh branch, this one in Vancouver. The new location is expected to open later this year.

“The Andresen Financial Center will feature a warm and engaging space that fosters open communication,” said President/CEO Kathleen Romane. “We want to become our members’ financial advocates and this setting removes the traditional barriers that get in the way of building relationships.”

The 17,500-member Lacamas Community CU was the first credit union established in Southwest Washington, chartered in 1936, and now serves anyone who lives or works in Southwest Washington.
