Mission FCU Merges San Diego JACL FCU

The $2.3 billion Mission Federal Credit Union has merged the $638,000 San Diego Japanese American Citizens League Federal Credit Union.

The merger was approved by the NCUA and made official in October and November, the San Diego credit unions said.

“Mission Federal is pleased to welcome San Diego JACL Federal Credit Union members into our credit union family and have a top team in place to ensure the transition is a seamless and positive experience for them,” said Debra Schwartz, president/CEO at Mission FCU.

“I am pleased to have found a new home for our San Diego JACL Federal Credit Union members that will provide them with additional convenient branch locations throughout the county, outstanding member service and an enhanced portfolio of products,” said Eileen Takahashi, the 212-member merged credit union’s CEO.
