Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union has announced that Cameron Dickey has been hired as president to succeed retiring President Debbie Blackshear.
“Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union is excited to be bringing someone of Cameron’s capabilities and proven track record on board to lead the credit union,” said Deborah Jackson, Cy-Fair’s chairman. “His values and strategic growth experience are a great match with our organization and we look forward to building upon the strong organization that Debbie has led during her 18-years as president.”
Dickey comes to the Houston-based Cy-Fair FCU most recently from the position of executive vice president with Stewart Title, where he oversaw sales and marketing in the Pacific Northwest and the company’s credit Union services division. Previously, Dickey was the vice president of retail sales and service with Advantis Credit Union and president/CEO of Providence Federal Credit Union in Portland, Ore.
Dickey is recognized internationally for micro-finance consulting and economic development in developing countries. As a volunteer consultant for the World Council of Credit Unions, Dickey has mentored and actively promoted cooperative financial institutions to delegates from Uzbekistan. He has also worked directly to help establish programs in Kenya to meet the needs of orphans in AIDS ravaged communities and to deploy micro-enterprise lending for agricultural development to small land owners.
Dickey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. “I am honored and excited to be joining the bright, forward-thinking, community-focused team at Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union.”
