PSCU has become the latest of the payment CUSOs and association to announce it is offering its member credit unions V.me, the new Visa digital wallet service that the card brand says will make online transactions easier and more secure.
Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions which process payment transactions with FIS, and The Members Group, the payments CUSO associated with the Iowa Credit Union League also announced they have begun to offer the service.
PSCU said members of three credit unions that are participating as early adopters of V.me will be able to sign up for the service to make simple and secure online payments, without the bother of repeatedly entering account number, bill-to and ship-to information.
The $1.6 billion Affinity Plus FCU in St. Paul, Minn., $577 million Listerhill CU in Sheffield, Ala., and $4.8 billion CEFCU in Peoria, Ill., are participating as pilots by having their card art displayed in the V.me wallet.
Cardholders using V.me will be able to enroll their existing Visa and other payment card accounts, allowing them to pay online by simply entering a user name and password at checkout, whether transacting on a PC or mobile device.
The ability for additional PSCU credit unions to participate in the V.me wallet will be announced in early 2013, the St. Petersburg, Fla., CUSO said.
