The $19 million, 3,600-member Northern Lights Federal Credit Union in St. Johnsbury, Vt., is converting to the Sharetec core processing system from Northern Data Systems of Falmouth, Maine.
Northern Lights cited cost savings and operational efficiencies and the ability to interface with its new ATM and debit provider in the decision to switch.
The credit union currently runs on the CMC Flex platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
More than 300 credit unions now use the Sharetec system, according to NDS, one of the four regional owner-distributors of the platform.
