The holiday season is always a magical time of year, especially for children. But hundreds of thousands of children across the country will be spending their holidays in hospitals, battling cancer, recovering from accidents, waiting for a heart, and hoping for a miracle.
This holiday season, credit unions have the opportunity to participate in the last of three national annual campaigns benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The holiday campaign provides credit unions with a variety of seasonal paper icons that can be purchased by members for as little as $1. All the money raised through these icons will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital serving the credit union’s community.
“We know consumers are more generous during the holidays and are looking for opportunities to give,” said Joe Dearborn, senior director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Our campaign provides credit unions with a turnkey, no-cost way for members to make a difference in the lives of sick and injured children being treated at their local CMN Hospital.”
The icon campaign provides credit unions with flexibility choosing the program that works best for its members. If the credit union chooses a football-themed promotion, a paper football icon is available; if it’s winter-themed, credit unions can order a snowman, snowflake or Christmas light bulb icon. If the credit union would rather do something using the traditional balloon icon, that’s available as well.
Holiday campaign kits — ncluding the icons, campaign information, donation reporting form, and pre-addressed envelope to submit donation — can be ordered now through Dec. 1 at no cost to participating credit unions.
