Core Conversion, New Owners for Grand Rapids CUSOs

The $48 million Greater Niles Community Federal Credit Union in Niles, Mich., is now running on a core processing system from CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO, the company said.

The conversion was completed in September and includes the CU*BASE core platform as well as online and mobile banking, e-statements and document management, CU*Answers said.

CU”Answers said the conversion was its 11th of the year and that there now are approximately 185 credit unions using CU*BASE.

Greater Niles Community FCU had been running on a Fiserv CUSA platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.

Meanwhile, Xtend, an affiliate of CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, said it has added two more credit unions as shareholders of that CUSO.

They are the $113 million Peninsula FCU in Escanaba, Mich., and the $192 million MidUSA FCU in Middletown, Ohio.

Xtend, a provider of managerial, technical planning, marketing and consulting services, said it now has 68 owners.
