Sixties folk and pop star John Sebastian, the founder of the Lovin’ Spoonful who’s now a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, did the honors when the York Chapter of Credit Unions held its “Honoring Our County’s Heroes” on Sept. 11 at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in York, Pa. The organizers partnered with the Homes for Our Troops organization to raise more than $5,000 to go towards building a new home for a wounded local soldier.
