Educational Systems FCU of Greenbelt, Md., hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to formally celebrate on Oct. 1 the opening of its new location in Prince Frederick.

The operation has grown from a mobile office in front of the old Calvert Middle School on Route 4, to a small office near the courthouse to the new standalone office on Prince Frederick Boulevard, the credit union said.

“This location, along with the new technologies of service delivery incorporated into the design of this beautiful branch, provides the credit union with a better way to serve more of our members here in Calvert County,” said Chris Conway, president/CEO of Educational Systems FCU.

ESFCU now operates 10 branches in six counties in Maryland and with the recent merger of Montgomery County Teachers FCU, now has about $790 million in assets and more than 95,000 members.
