KCUA and NCUL Join to Offer Networking Councils

The Kansas Credit Union Association and the Nebraska Credit Union League have joined forces to offer networking councils to their affiliated credit unions.

Networking councils aim to promote synergy among credit unions as the primary source for uniting and energizing individuals and credit unions by sharing best practices, education and resources, the leagues said.

All networking councils feature a listserv and file share, both accessed through a members-only section of the KCUA website. Webinars and joint face-to-face sessions will be offered, as well as state-only events.

“By partnering together we are enhancing the council experience, extending our networking opportunities, and offering more resources to credit unions,” said Gina Evans, assistant vice president of education and training at the KCUA. “Our collaboration efforts with Nebraska strengthen the cooperative spirit, and build on the credit union philosophy of people helping people.”

Networking councils are open to employees or volunteers of Kansas or Nebraska affiliated credit unions or their CUSOs. They are each governed by three directors and are supported by annual membership dues.
