The $202 million, 21,300-member CorePlus Federal Credit Union has recognized its latest summer crop of interns, placing their names on a recognition plaque at the credit union’s Salem Turnpike office in Norwich, Conn., and thanking them for their work.

More than 40 students from Norwich Free Academy have participated in the diversity program since 2006, learning day-to-day operations including teller, support services and member representative duties.

They also complete online course work at CU Digital University and many of them have gone on to paid part-time or full-time jobs at the credit union.
