Where's the Fire?

Spraying a fire hose, with a little help from her friend, was a highlight for one young visitor to the Kids’ Fest held recently by the $259 million American 1 Credit Union of Jackson, Mich., at Timbertown Park in nearby Chelsea.

More than 20 local businesses and organizations participated, hosting such activities as water color painting, pretend fishing, face painting, playing with adoptable dogs and, of course, a fire hose from the Chelsea Fire Department.

“It was a beautiful day, and we had a great turnout,” said Jayme Bicknell, American 1 event coordinator. “Each of the vendors was a pleasure to work with, and we hope they join us again next year.”
