Technology and e-business consultants Samaha Associates attended the recent Credit Union for Kids Wine Auction held in Dana Point, Calif. The Chino Hills-based firm said it has long supported this worthy cause and this year decided to something extra special.
“This is an important event, and we have made donations in the past participating in both the silent and live auctions,” said Samaha Associates Managing Partner Adam Denbo. “This year we decided to purchase the all-inclusive trip to Disney World and donate it back to the same worthy cause in a special and personal way.”
In association with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Samaha Associates’ $2,000 donation was awarded to Zoe Hunter, 8, who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Her mother, Suzanne, accompanied Zoe to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County on Aug. 6, where they were presented with the gift.
“I can’t believe I’m going to Disney World. It going to be awesome, amazing and incredible,” said Zoe. “I’m speechless,” said Suzanne Hunter. “This has been a dream of Zoe’s and because of the generosity of strangers, I’m going to be able to make that dream come true”.
“We especially wanted to help a single-parent family who may often struggle more than others due to a single source of income,” said Denbo, a father of five.
The package includes two roundtrip Delta airline tickets to Orlando, Fla., hotel rooms, ground transportation, meal allotment, Disney Park passes and invitations to special events.
“Credit Union for Kids’ Wine Auction in association with Children’s Miracle Hospitals is doing such great work, and we are honored to be apart this all-important effort,” said Denbo.
