United Solutions Company and INTERPRO Technology Inc. are offering credit unions a hosted solution that extends the service bureau concept used for core processing to the ATM channel.
The hosted ATM intercept processing service integrates with any core processing platform, the companies said, and will allow credit unions that otherwise could not afford to to drive their own ATMs.
Capabilities include remote deposit capture, PIN changes, English/Spanish screen support, cash management, courtesy pay, account-to-account transfer, voice guidance and custom branded welcome screens, the companies said.
“Credit unions recognize the significant advantages they can gain from driving their own ATMs, but many are unable to take on the capital investment and the related administration in-house,” said Jim Giacobbe, president of United Solutions, a Tallahassee, Fla.-based CUSO that said it now provides core processing and other IT services to more than 85 credit unions.
“INTERPRO’s core business is providing intercept processing and shared branch applications to credit unions and other service and financial organizations,” said Kevin Ouellette, president/CEO of INTERPRO Technology in the Detroit suburb of Rochester, Mich.
“We’re leveraging that expertise to provide the same industry-leading ATM technology in a data center environment, giving credit unions who wish not to drive their ATMs in-house, tremendous flexibility in how they drive and control their ATMs,” said Ouellete, whose company now serves more than 350 credit unions.
