Team members from Eagle Community Credit Union in Lake Forest, Calif., helped deliver the goods this year in the annual nationwide food drive by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Volunteers from the $209 million Eagle Community CU volunteered at four local postal facilities, helping to sort some of the more than 1.2 million pounds donated through the Santa Ana Postal District, which includes Orange County and parts of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Lake Forest Mayor Kathryn McCullough attended the May 9 kickoff event held at the credit union’s Lake Forest Branch for the local USPS divisions and their carriers. She presented Eagle Community CEO Bill Birnie with a certificate of service.
