The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions has a new advocate – Michael Garfield aka "The High-Tech Texan", a local radio host on 950AM KPRC.
The radio personality has encouraged listeners to learn more at HoustonCreditUnions.org and make the switch to “Experience a Houston Credit Union.”
With a ZIP code search engine, the microsite makes it easy for locals to find a credit union near them.
“It’s exciting to work with the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions,” said Garfield. “We’re educating Houston consumers on how they’re different than other financial institutions while collectively saving their members millions of dollars each year. Our listeners are saying bye-bye to big banks and hello credit unions.”
The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions comprises 107 area institutions striving to be a local resource through education, communication, political involvement and community service.
