Commuter Rail Ad Placement Helps NJCUL Message
New Jersey credit unions couldn’t ask for better placement for the New Jersey Credit Union League’s “Banking You Can Trust” ad at a commuter train station.
By coincidence, the NJCUL’s awareness ad shared a billboard for the biography of legendary tech icon Steve Jobs, who challenged consumers to think differently about technology.
“If you think back just 10 years ago Apple was nothing more than a niche computer player that was favored mostly by creative professions like publishing. Fast forward to today and Apple dominates smart phones, tablets and online music,” Paul Gentile, president/CEO of the NJCUL, said of the fortuitous placement.
“We’re challenging consumers to think differently about their financial lives and to wake up to the power of credit unions,” Gentile said in the league’s daily newsletter.
“Hopefully we will look back 10 years from now and remember this as the time that credit unions start to go mainstream for consumer financial services. As consumers grow weary of big bank fees and practices, the time has never been better for credit unions to tell their story to consumers,” he said.
