CEO Linda Cupit Retires

David Meaux Has Been Tapped as the new President/CEO

After 31 years of dedicated service, Linda Cupit, president/CEO at Sabine Federal Credit Union, has retired.

David Meaux, former CFO at the Orange, Texas-based credit union has been tapped as the new president/CEO.

“I am extremely proud of all that has been accomplished over the years,” said Cupit of her time at the $150 million credit union. “This can only be attributed to the teamwork of our wonderful staff and credit union volunteers who have been committed to provide unmatched value and service to the membership. I want to express my gratitude and praise for the support everyone has provided throughout my career in the credit union industry. Working with such dedicated and hard-working people has been a joy and honor I will value the rest of my life.”

The 1989 Southwest CUNA Management School graduate got her start in the industry as a teller in 1980. A love of numbers and her expertise in that area lead her to become vice president of accounting until she was promoted in 1995 to branch manager. In 2000, she was named chief financial officer then became president/CEO upon Lyndell H. Bray’s retirement.
