The $2.9 billion Desert Schools Federal Credit Union in Phoenix said it plans to deploy a Web-based centralized payment processing system from TransFirst LLC of Hauppauge, N.Y.
The Transaction Central solution provides 24/7 access to payment processing services via any Internet-connected device, while the TransLink component delivers a variety of reports and management tools to better serve the credit union’s members, the company said.
Sales support teams, portfolio performance reports, a 24/7 merchant helpdesk, competitive pricing and innovative products for members also are included, the company and 326,000-member credit union said.
Ron Amstutz, executive vice president of Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, said, “It is a top priority of ours to look for ways to improve on existing processes and ensure the quality standards of each of our processes are kept high.”
TransFirst said it now provides payment processing and related services to more than 175,000 merchants, financial institutions and sales partners, generating about $30 billion a year in annual transaction volume.
