The $542 million Great Lakes Credit Union and Lake County Forest Preserve District hosted a “Giving Dinner” the Sunday before Thanksgiving at Greenbelt Cultural Center in the credit union’s hometown of North Chicago, Ill. Approximately 300 people attended, encouraged by local missions and shelters. The evening also included live entertainment, games and storytelling for children, as well as the donation of coats, hats, gloves and other warm clothing items donated by GLCU members and staff during the credit union’s “Warmth Drive.”
