More than 100 people gathered for exercise and a good cause when the $1.2 billion CFE Federal Credit Union of Lake Mary, Fla., held a ZumbaFest fundraiser recently at a local mall. The event raised nearly $3,000 for the A Gift for Teaching organization’s school supply drive. CFE FCU was the lead sponsor for the event, which also included credit union staff volunteering their times to take calls live on the air during a local television stations’ newscasts. “We want all of our kids to succeed in school by having the right tools,” said Joseph Melbourne Jr., the 116,000-member credit union’s president/CEO. “Our members and employees make a positive difference in the lives of students through their generous donations of funds and school supplies every year.”
