The Credit Union Association of New York has tapped its general counsel, Henry Meier, to write a new Web log that the association has called New York's State of Mind.
Meier will use the blog to comment on NCUA actions, legislative developments and the economy, the association said.
“The blog was created to present credit union professionals with a unique platform that communicates pertinent credit union information from a unique perspective. It also opens the door for credit union peer-to-peer sharing of opinions and ideas and more,” said William J. Mellin, CEO of the CUANY.
“Today’s credit union professionals don’t always have the time to read through the myriad of information they receive on every political and regulatory issue that comes across their desks, yet they need to be kept informed. It’s our goal to provide that information through the blog in small measures that can quickly be absorbed and acted on as necessary,” Mellin added.
