Michigan First Credit Union has joined the growing Young & Free family.
The Lathrup Village, Mich.-based credit union has launched its search for the Young & Free Michigan "spokester."
Spokester responsibilities range from event appearances and writing daily blog entries, to posting weekly videos to the YoungFreeMichigan.com website.
Developed by British Columbia-based Currency Marketing, Young & Free is a financial management program designed to engage 18-to-25-year-olds to effectively manage their money through a microsite, Facebook, Twitter and other nontraditional media.
As part of its launch, Michigan First has also unveiled the First Gear Account, which features free unlimited check writing, 1% auto loan rate discount, double MoneyPerks reward points for eStatements and direct deposits, and an integrated personal financial management tool. In addition to smartphone mobile banking apps, remote check deposit capability and live chat are also included.
Young & Free is currently available in Alberta, Ontario, Texas, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and St. Louis.
