The $491 million Justice Federal Credit Union felt one way to celebrate its 75th anniversary was offering members an annual percentage yield of 7.50% on a 75-day share certificate of deposit.
"It's our way of saying thank you to our members for 75 years of service," said Pete Sainato, president/CEO of the Chantilly, Va., credit union.
The CD offer has a limited time and is subject to end without notice as the credit union has set an internal limit on the number of deposits it will receive, according to Justice FCU. Members may open the certificate with a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $25,000 deposit of new money only.
Over the past year, the credit union has offered several anniversary specials to members.
