Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union said it now has more than 100,000 registered users of its DeposZip remote deposit capture service for homes and businesses.
The Burlington, Mass., corporate's Vertifi Software subsidiary has the solution in place at 62 credit unions across the country and said it has processed 850,000 checks totaling more than $660 million since beginning the service in late 2007.
Its mobile RDC offering, meanwhile, has handled $41 million since it began early this year, EasCorp said.
An early adopter, the $826 million Hanscom FCU of Bedford, Mass., said its RDC users also tend to use more services from their credit union.
"We have 2,000 users, and on average, they have 7% higher share balances, 45% higher loan balances, 12% more share accounts and 30% more loan accounts," said Scott Post, the 44,000-member credit union's senior vice president of strategy and delivery.
