The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues were honored for two of its marketing campaigns at the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals' 2010 MarCom Awards.
The Leagues' communications and marketing department received a gold award for the 2010 AMC campaign and an honorable mention for its 1-2 Punch campaign. The gold award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm; about 18% of entries were gold winners. Honorable mentions are granted to those that met the expectations of the judges; about 10%of entries were honorable mention winners.
The 2010 annual meeting and convention campaign played up the theme, "Reimagine," to acknowledge the need for new thinking in dealing with a changing industry and a down economy, while also alluding to the fun nature of the November 2010 event's venue-the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
The objective of the 1-2 Punch campaign was to increase the participation of California and Nevada credit union members in the leagues' payroll deduction program and its grassroots advocacy website, Connect for the Cause.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals.
