CO-OP Financial Services added two new credit unions to its ATM network recently, both based in Texas. Houston Highway Credit Union and YOUR Federal Credit Union have joined more than 200 credit unions that already use the service in Texas and 3,000 that participate across the nation.
Members of the credit unions can now access their accounts without a surcharge in any of the CO-OP Network's 1,200 Texas ATMs, located in branches as well as in many retail stores.
"We are partnering with CO-OP Financial Services to bring big bank convenience to the individual service-oriented Houston Highway CU," said Craig Atkinson, president of the credit union. "CO-OP Network is a useful improvement in our constant quest for service excellence."
YOUR FCU also joined CO-OP Shared Branching, which will let credit union members use the 250 shared branch locations in Texas, including 12 that are within 10 miles of Irving, where YOUR FCU is based.
"One of our major strategic plans for 2010 is to increase our members' access to their credit union and its services," said Mark O'Bryan, president/CEO of YOUR FCU. "Our members love the added convenience of the shared branching and ATM networks. We have the CO-OP logo on our website home page and placing the cursor over it allows our members to easily find a branch or ATM near them. Most of our members never knew there were so many nearby branches and ATMs."
