Symitar Signs Eight CUs for Cruise

Eight credit unions have committed as new users of the Symitar Cruise core processing platform in the past two months, according to Symitar owner Jack Henry & Associates.

They include $65 million Mississippi FCU of Jackson and $44 million Greater Eastern CU of Johnson City, Tenn., according to Jack Henry of Monett, Mo.

The former currently is an EPL Inc. core processing client and the latter runs on an Open Solutions Inc. platform, according to the Callahan & Associates Technology Survey.

The Cruise platform now has about 175 users, with another 550 running on Symitar's Episys platform for larger credit unions, Jack Henry said.
