LAS VEGAS -- More than 35 customers on three continents have contracted with S1 Corp. to use its mobile banking application, according to the Atlanta-based e-commerce specialist.
Four of those customers-three banks and the $492 million Ventura County Credit Union in Ventura, Calif.-also have S1-enabled applications on Apple's App Store for iPhones, S1 said at the BAI Retail Delivery Show in Las Vegas last week.
The S1 mobile platform includes a mobile Internet browser, downloadable applications, and SMS texting with an option for an IVR PIN, the company said.
"Mobile banking has quickly become an essential component of a successful multichannel banking environment," said Johann Dreyer, the company's CEO.
