Patriot Federal Credit Union, Chambersburg, Pa., announced the hiring of Brad Warner as chief financial officer. In his new position, he is responsible for managing the financial division of the credit union, which includes finance, risk management and compliance functions. Warner is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, and has made his career in the financial services industry since 1979, spending the last 24 years in the credit union movement. Most recently, he served 19 years as the CEO of White Rose Credit Union in York, Pa.
Financial Center, Indianapolis, announced Frances Tooley as the credit union's new chief operations officer. Tooley has been with Financial Center since 1987 and brings to the position a wealth of contacts and relationships within the credit union community and the Indianapolis area. She has experience in the fields of coaching and development, human resources and retail operations.
Indiana Credit Union League, Indianapolis, elected Jack Sheets to its board of directors and also chose new table officers: Ron Mazur, of Chiphone FCU in Elkhart, is the new chairman; Lori Dauksas, of Members Choice FCU in Bloomington, is now vice chairman; Frank Gulley, of Afena FCU in Marion, is board secretary; and Dave Fleming, of Partners 1st FCU in Fort Wayne, is the new treasurer.
Members Cooperative Credit Union, Duluth, Minn., named Steve Glonchak its regional manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for the credit union's Central and Miller Hill branches. He holds bachelor's degrees in both business management and psychology. Glonchak, an avid outdoorsman and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, has worked in financial services for almost six years. Most recently, he worked as a branch manager for Wells Fargo in Aberdeen, S.D.
Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, East Lansing, Mich., announced the promotion of Amy Coe, Casie Medina and Christopher Tyler to contact center managers. Amy Coe has been with MSUFCU since August of 1997 and previously held the senior contact center lead position for six years. Casie Medina has been with MSUFCU since May of 2003 and previously held a loan officer position for four years. Christopher Tyler has been with MSUFCU since August of 2006 and previously held the contact center assistant manager position for two years.
Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced the addition of nine new advisory council members to five of its 28 councils across the state. To the Albemarle Sound council, Jean Bunch of Chowan Hospital and Darlene Carter of the town of Edenton; to the Central Coast council, Amy Burdulis of Carolina East Medical Center; to the Eastern Triangle council, Ti Morrill of the town of Lillington; to the Roanoke River council, Ginny Orvedahl of the town of Halifax, Martin Todd of Bertie-Martin Regional Jail, and David Marshall of the City of Roanoke Rapids Fire Department; and to the Tar River council, Gordon Deno of Wilson County and Grant Goings of the city of Wilson.
Member One Federal Credit Union, Roanoke, Va., announced the promotion of Shannon Pendergrass to vice president/branch manager of its southwest Roanoke County branch. Pendergrass has been with Member One for more than 15 years, and during her time she has served in the role of recovery officer, loan officer and property administration manager. Her experience in multiple departments at the credit union will serve her well as she leads the Southwest team to help members achieve their financial goals.
Member One also promoted Kimberley Braswell to chief administrative officer. Braswell previously served as the senior vice president of human resources and training. She will now provide strategic oversight not only to the functions of human resources and training, but additionally to organizational culture, sales and service, property administration and physical security/safety. These additional responsibilities enhance the human resources department by ensuring both members and employees are in an environment of respect, service, safety and integrity.
Truliant Federal Credit Union, Winston-Salem, N.C., appointed Martha Logemann as the new associate director of its board of directors for the 2010-2011 term. Logemann has more than 20 years of professional experience in the public and private sectors and not-for-profit accounting, including internal audit experience with Truliant in the 1980s. She currently runs a niche certified public accountant practice and has been a small business owner for more than 16 years.
Jack Henry & Associates, Inc., Monett, Mo., announced that the president of its ProfitStars division, David Foss, was elected as president of the Association for Financial Technology on Sept. 14 at the organization's 39th annual meeting held in Napa, Calif. AFT is a volunteer association of industry visionaries, thought leaders and senior executives from companies that serve the domestic and international financial services market.
The National Association of Credit Union Chairmen, Del Mar, Calif., elected five officers to its board of directors. John Steck, of Utah Central Credit Union of Salt Lake City, is chairman. E.H. Weldon, of 1st Community Federal Credit Union of San Angelo, Texas, is first vice chairman. Philippe Ouellette, Jr., of Citadel Federal Credit Union of Thorndale, Pa., is second vice chairman. Hugh Rafferty, of CoastHills Federal Credit Union of Lompoc, Calif., is secretary. And Rose Rangel, of Generations Federal Credit Union of San Antonio, is the board's new treasurer.
