Contest Gathers Enrollees

An e-statement enrollment contest held by a Michigan-based core processing CUSO resulted in more than 9,000 new users at 60 participating credit unions.

CU*Answers in Grand Rapids said a total of 9,079 e-statement enrollments were recorded during the August-September contest, a 48% increase from the previous two months.

Marissa Pittsley, a member of the $74 million Isabella Community Credit Union in Mount Pleasant, Mich., was the winner of the contest's grand prize, a Nintendo Wii game system, and her credit union said its online enrollment pace nearly double during the two months of the contest.

The collaborative campaign included mailing nearly 400,000 statement inserts at a cost of less than 2 cents each, CU*Answers said, and Isabella Community CU said its total expense was $114.25.
