Person-to-person payment functionality is now a part of the PayLynx online bill payment platform from PSCU Financial Services.
The CUSO said more than 60 credit union clients have already signed up for the service, which uses the ZashPay solution from Fiserv Inc. to securely transmit or receive money using existing banking accounts, e-mail and mobile phone numbers.
Recipients at participating institutions receive a direct deposit while others claim their money at www.ZashPay.com.
"ZashPay added further convenience to online bill pay and we wanted our credit unions to be among the first to offer this high-tech service. With ZashPay, users are always directed back to their financial institution's website rather than to a third-party site, creating an advantage for our credit unions," said Leslie Reistrup, director of e-commerce at PSCU Financial Services in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The PayLynx online bill payment solution is now used by more than 475 institutions.
