Cybercrime Forum Set For Nov. 4-5 in New Hampshire

A symposium on cybercrime will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 and Friday, Nov. 5 at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel & Conference Center in Portsmouth, N.H.

The Cybercrime 2010 Symposium is from Sage Data Security Inc. of South Portland, Maine, and nophishing.org, the action arm of the Maine Anti-Phishing Coalition, formed by 24 Maine banks in 2006 to fight phishing and other fraud through public awareness and education.

Speakers and presenters include Brian Krebs, editor of the krebsonsecurity.com blog, and Joseph Menn, author of "Fatal System Error." Krebs will present current data and case studies on financial cybercrimes while Menn will discuss crime leaders attacking the Internet.

The two-day conference also will include an interactive discussion with James Woodhill, founder and chairman of Authentify, and American Banking Association Vice President Doug Johnson on managing and mitigating the risks of online banking.

The conference website is at www.cybercrime2010.com.
